Application

Motorized ball valve - widely used in water treatment systems, home automation, HVAC system, irrigation system, wildfire emergency sprinkler system, recreational vehicle (RV), trailer home, sprinkler truck, fire truck, air compressor, washing machine, etc., where automatic remote fluid control is needed.

For stainless steel motorized ball valve, the valve body and ball is 304 stainless steel, while the ball seat is PTFE and the seal is silicon rubber. The lead free stainless steel body combined with the silicon rubber seal make it suitable for potable water applications. It has passed NSF61 test by Intertek lab.

The motor actuator is rated IP67 and NEMA 4, making it resistant to splashes and sprays and compatible with outdoor use. But If permanently installed outdoors, it is recommended to place it under a shelter or in a protective box to prevent prolonged exposure to extreme weather conditions as the valve can be damaged. There are 13" (35cm) lead wires extending from the actuator that can be used to power the valve.

Compared to a solenoid valve, the motorized ball valve automatically cuts off power once fully open or fully closed; This reduces likelihood of overheating, making it a great alternative to solenoid valves for projects where a valve needs to be open for an extended period of time. But motorized ball valve has a much slower response time, which eliminates water hammer and at the same time makes it not suitable for application where instant open/close is need.
